Training with Living Languages

Our training aims to support the long-term maintenance and sustainability of Indigenous languages in Australia, and Indigenous people’s ownership of the language documentation and revitalisation. We share knowledge and skills for looking after your own language - to learn it and teach it, and to design and manage your own language projects.

Since it began nationally in 2012, our training has contributed to the effectiveness and capacity of Indigenous Language Centres and grassroots Community Language Teams.

When you join Living Languages training, you also learn to share your skills with others in your workplace and community and beyond: many people who participate in our workshops also join us in other capacities - as guest trainers, advisors, speakers and more!

We offer different types of training depending on the language needs of your community. Follow the links below to learn more or contact us.
